Website Revamp This Month

Posted at 15:29 GMT by Chris :: Comments: 0
This is just a short post to let you know that this month I'm making an effort to revamp the site. This is both in the way of coding the backend of the custom CMS, as well as hopefully a new layout. This current layout is borrowed from one of my other sites, and whilst keeping all my sites linked, they need better, more relevant layouts. Bear in mind I have 2, possibly 3 sites to redo, so I should add "hopefully" to the end of the title in case it doesn't get done, but it should do. Downloads will also be integrated again, a necessary upgrade brought about a lot of changes which would require a fair bit of work to get integrated, hence why they aren't at the moment. But once the CMS is done we'll be using our own system.

Additionally, once I've finished the new layout, I'll work on skinning our rather inactive forums. I'm hoping to entice a few more of you to post there - while I'm aware there isn't much to talk about at the moment, we started off pretty well but then interest died out for the game. Once there's a bit more info out I'm sure you'll be asking all sorts of questions, but we'll see how it goes. I don't really want to close them, but if they aren't used I might as well.

So that's all for now. It'll be pretty obvious when I have updated the site, so I'll say no more until such time.

Want to Appear in Alan Wake?

Posted at 19:42 GMT by Chris :: Comments: 0
As part of Microsoft's "WOW" campaign for the launch of Windows Vista, MSN UK are offering you the chance to win an experience that money can't buy!

See how Windows Vista and the 2007 Microsoft Office system make using a PC easier, safer and more entertaining, and you could win an experience money can’t buy!

To celebrate the launch of their new operating system, Microsoft is offering one lucky winner the opportunity to be digitally made-over and inserted (virtually of course) into a blockbuster game! Simply watch the Vista gaming demo and you could appear in the latest Remedy blockbuster, Alan Wake, a psychological action thriller with an intense cinematic look. Let the games begin with a trip to Finland to be digitally mastered into Alan Wake’s world, then jet off to Tokyo to the 2008 Tokyo Games Show to be on the scene and on the screen!

Sounds awesome!

GamesRadar Preview with 2 New Screens

Posted at 15:00 GMT by Chris :: Comments: 0
Yep, we're still alive. It's been a few months since any life was seen here at I've been busy with other projects, and to be honest, there hasn't really been any actual news on the game, so it's safe to say we haven't really missed much. In the coming months I am hoping to completely revamp the place, not sure if the forums will stay since they're kind of dead what with everyone choosing to use the official ones, but we'll see how it goes with them.

GamesRadar have recently published a new preview though, there isn't any new information but they are nice enough to give us 2 new screenshots (plus 1 uncropped screenshot we saw from C&VG), unfortunately with GR's watermark on them, but never mind. Check out the new screens below.
